POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
FEES & REGISTRATION
$10.00 registration fee per child for new enrollments-this is a one time registration fee
$65.00 monthly for a one hour class
Classes are held once a week
Discounts are available for multiple classes or multiple students from the same family
Monthly payments are due the first of the month
Tuition is based on a 4-week month. No additional charge is assessed for months that offer five classes. In months where holidays, studio closing, etc. affect the schedule of the classes, tuition is not reduced. Tuition is not prorated for absences.
Classes will begin September 3rd
Sessions run for 36 weeks
REGISTRATION CANCELLATION
All cancellations must be in writing by the 25th of the month

DRESS CODE
Tiny Tots and Toddler Dance: loose fitting, comfortable clothing, ballet shoes or socks with grippers
Creative Movement Dancers: leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes, hair tied back
Jazz, Ballet and Tap Combo Dancers: leotard, tights, pink ballet and black tap shoes, hair tied back
Junior Combo: leotard, tights, ballet and tap shoes, hair tied back
Ballet Classes: Leotard (any color), tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in bun (optional items-ballet skirts, sweater, leg warmers)
Lyrical Calsses: Leotard (any color), tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in bun (optional items-ballet skirts, sweater, leg warmers)
Jazz Classes: Leotard (any color) or form fitted top/shirt, dancer shorts or form fitted leggings. Tan jazz shoes and hair tied back
Tap Classes: Leotard (any color) or form fitted top/shirt, dancer shorts or form fitted leggings. 1.5 inch black character tap shoes for Youth and Up classes. Oxford tap shoes for boys and hair tied back.
Hip Hop: Comfortable and loose clothing that is easy to move around in. We will do a group order for required black high-top tennis shoes, once classes begin. Wear tennis shoes until new ones come in.
Musical Theater: Comfortable and loose clothing that is easy to move around in. Tennis shoes or dance shoes.
***PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE TO CLASS***
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Video taping of classes is not allowed. Parents may film their own child and take pictures, but not the class as a whole. There are current students with NO photo releases.
A dancer may be recommended by the teacher or director to be in a different class, level or genre at any point in the season. The recommendations are based on what is the best fit for the dancer.
Dancers must be kind, safe and helpful in class at all times. If a student is causing a disruption to the teacher’s instruction or being a distraction to other student’s learning, the issue will need to be addressed with the parent. Student’s may be asked to take a break with their adult in the lobby or may be recommended for a different class time, day or genre.
All tuition fees and payments must be current in order to participate in ADA extra curricular activities and performances.
No pets are allowed inside the studio, unless they are service animals.
PAYMENT POLICY
*All dancers must have a debit card, credit card or ACH/Electronic Check transaction form of payment on file.
•The form of payment on file will automatically be charged/debited the total account balance on the 1st of the month.
•If your debit or credit card is declined, you are responsible for providing a new card within five (5) days of receiving notice of the declined card. A $10 late fee will automatically be applied to all late accounts on the 11th of each month.
•If tuition becomes two months delinquent, students are subject to removal from classes.
•If you wish to withdrawal from the program, all cancellations must be in writing by the 25th of the month. You can email ashlanddanceacademy@gmail.com or complete a cancellation form from the office. If a withdrawal is not received, your card on file will continue to be charged and refunds will not be given.
